Advanced course in digital photography offered

A course in digital photography was offered May 4 and 11 at Spoon River College’s Community Outreach Center in Macomb. A total of 21 students participated. Due to the popularity of the course, a class called Advanced Digital Photography will be held at the Macomb outreach center  from 6 to 8 p.m. on the Tuesdays of June 8 and 15.

Lu Guang Wins National Geographic Photography Grant

Photographer Lu Guang of Beijing has won National Geographic magazine’s $30,000 photography grant to support his ongoing project about the environmental consequences of China’s rapid economic growth, the publisher announced on May 27.
